I assisted my supervisors in prepping the promotional material we’d be giving them, as well as preparing a questionnaire about the environment for the end of the presentation. The students were a small enthusiastic group aged 12-14 years. I got to do a small activity with them about safe ocean practices to protect coral reefs, which they made super fun and easy by being attentive and helpful. It was a great opportunity being able to go out and represent UNEP, even just as an intern.
Aside from that, I am still working on organizing the document room, which is coming along pretty neatly. My internship finishes August 31st and I really want to make sure it’s perfectly arranged before that date. There are only a few things left to check off of my terms of reference including writing abstracts.
Challenges faced: The abstract writing for the reports is what has been the most challenging but I’ve been trying to take it one report at a time.
Lessons Learnt: I learn something new about time management every month it seems!
