International Register for Potentially Toxic Chemicals IRPTC (Switzerland) (http://irptc.unep.ch/irptc-default.html): UNEP organization that deals with chemicals information. Provides access to a database on chemical information.

UNESCO-IOC Register of Marine Organisms (http://www.unesco.org:80/ioc/oslr/taxon.htm): Online database with information on marine organisms.

ReefBase:  A Global Information System on Coral Reefs (http://www.reefbase.org):  A webpage that provides access to data and information on coral reefs and associated shallow tropical habitats.   There is a Reef Status section, that provides reports from 50 countries, and a database with information on coral reefs and protected areas, and also a searchable collection of images and maps.

NAUSICAA - French National Sea Experience Centre (http://www.nausicaa.fr/), is a Science Centre entirely dedicated to the relationship between Mankind and the Sea. Its goal is to incite the general public to discover the sea and to love it, while raising its awareness on the need for a sustainable use of marine resources.

YouthXchange, a project of UNEP/UNESCO, aims at raising young people's awareness on the importance and viability of adopting more sustainable lifestyles.  It also provides youth, non-governmental organisations and educators with the resources to set up youth-friendly awareness raising events and training session on te meaning and interest of adopting more sustainable lifestyles www.youthxchange.net.
