We also said good-bye to our CEPNET Secretary, Shawna Byfield. Shawna has been with the CAR/RCU for the past six years working in various capacities. We wish Shawna every blessing in all her future endeavours. You will be missed!

Suzette holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and French from the University of the West Indies (Mona) and a Masters degree in Public Sector Management from the PUCMM in Santo Domingo

bulletbl.gif (327 bytes)Welcome! Welcome! Also to our new CEPNET Programme Officer, Luc St-Pierre. Luc is Canadian and has come to Kingston with his wife Nora Silva and a little newborn daughter Sofía Emilia. He will be with CAR/RCU for at least one year, hopefully for more. Luc is a Geographer (M.Sc. University of Sherbrooke, Canada) and is currently completing a M.Sc. in Environmental Economics with the University of London. For over ten years, he has worked in international projects in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, Niger, Morocco, Ethiopia, Lesotho and Thailand. He has specialised in developing GIS tools and databases and other information systems for the management of natural resources and for the environment with academic institutions, private companies, international organisations and government bodies.

He will provide support for the regular activities of CEPNET as well as for the development of new projects. You can communicate with Luc either in French, English or Spanish at lsp.uneprcuja@cwjamaica.com to get or give information, develop projects or just to let him know about your organisation.
