Objectives:

• To promote sensitization on the, need for the proper disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), and to promote, the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such wastes so as to reduce the disposal of waste   

• To improve the environmental performance of all operators involved in the life cycle of electrical and electronic equipment, e.g. producers, distributors and consumers
• To find out what is the current status of Є Waste in the Caribbean and where can we as a Region find solutions to deal with the evolving problem of Є Waste
• To disseminate educational information to the Regional population on Є Waste and post consumer responsibility.
• To urge Regional Government’s to implement proper legislation on Є Waste.
• To develop a Code of Practice for WEEE in the Region.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors wishing to present a paper should submit an abstract electronically, of not more than 300 words; abstracts should be written in English and should contain title, author and full contact details. Deadline for abstracts is July 7^th, 2006. Successful authors will be notified by July 21^st, 2006. Full papers should be submitted by August 9^th, 2006.
