Objective(s):
To protect the Caribbean marine environment by reducing the use of, and reliance on, pesticides in agricultural activities through the development of national plans.
Expected Outputs:
- Preparation of national reports to form basis for the national action programmes (NAPs);
- Preparation of a regional report for regional co-operation;
- Strengthened institutional, legal and policy infrastructure; and
- This project will assist in the implementation of Annex IV to the LBS Protocol.
Status:
- Project approved by GEF;
- Position for new Project Manager filled late October 2006;
- First Project Steering Committee Meeting held in Panama City, 12th and 13th of April 2007
