2006 International Coastal Clean-up
International Coastal Clean-up activities were carried out in seven (7) countries sponsored by UNEP-CAR/RCU. The countries are Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Guyana, Jamaica, Nevis and St. Lucia.
The importance of the International Coastal Clean-up activity was to improve recognition of the need to promote Marine Litter Management at the national level. This activity should assist with the entry into force of the LBS Protocol.
The overall objective of this MOU is to promote the Marine Litter Project through participation in the International Coastal Clean-up activity.
