Areas for collaboration, funding and cooperation on projects in the Wider Caribbean Region

Development of Safe Recreational-Water-Environments in the WCR

Objective(s)
To assist countries of the region attain safe recreational-water environments in both a public health and a sustainable tourism context, with appropriate management interventions.

Expected Outputs:

  • Epidemiological trials at selected beaches in Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago
  • Classification of beaches based upon health risks using the Annapolis Protocol approach.


Cost (US$): 188,000 - Unfunded

Period:  2006 - 2007 (12 - 34 months)
